About CEO Conversations:

CNM’s CEO Conversations series is designed to provide learning and networking opportunities exclusively for Nonprofit Executive Directors and CEOs. With a mix of educational and social gatherings, CEO Conversation events allow space for Executives to share best practices while strengthening the whole nonprofit community.

Event Description:

Nonprofit partnerships should be strategic, with the goal of achieving meaningful outcomes. But what if we could add an additional benefit and elevate our sister organizations for recognition and funding? The Bridgespan Group noted in their Racial Equity and Philanthropy report, "In 2020, Black, Indigenous, and Latinx nonprofit leaders receive only 4% of total grants and contributions in philanthropic funding."

Since then, there has been an increased call from funders for more collaboration in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors to advance opportunity, well-being, and justice for all people. However, because collaboration and DEIB conversations can be complex and messy, many nonprofits hesitate about the best way to move forward with new equitable approaches.

Join CNM for our August CEO Conversation as we discuss strategies to embed intentional equity in our partnerships. Led by Amiee Sadler (CNM's Manager of Community and Collective Impact), we'll brainstorm simple approaches nonprofit leaders can take to 'shake up' and evaluate current partnerships to do what we do best: leading transformational change to improve the lives of the people and communities we serve.

Structure & Event Timeline:

  • 8:30 am - Introductions
