Job Summary

PURPOSE: Operation Andrew Group’s mission is to unite the body of Christ as we partner with the local church to love God and our neighbors. The purpose of this role is to be a leader of high integrity, passionate about uniting and equipping multiple generations of Jesus followers through a year-long holistic Christian mentoring program. This role would carry the vision to unite generations to shape faith-filled leaders to impact their communities for Christ.

Job Responsibilities

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively market program value by developing and executing a marketing strategy that would expand program participation.
    • Implement initiatives to attract mentors and mentees to participate in the program, leveraging networks within educational institutions, community organizations, churches and businesses.
    • Identify, recruit, and cultivate relationships with experienced mentors from diverse backgrounds, including business leaders, church members, and retirees, to ensure a robust mentor pool.
  • Oversee mentor training and support them as a community with resources and guidance.
  • Create connection and development opportunities through events, and webinars that engage and attend to participants’ topics of interest.
  • Administrate the cultivation and vetting of program participants.
  • Administrate multiple mentoring cohorts per year.
  • Lead and support Church Partner staff and lay liaisons to meet their mentoring goals.
  • Create all communications, including but not limited to, monthly topical emails, marketing materials, website, social media and funding content.  
  • Track and analyze key metrics related to program participation, retention and satisfaction.
  • Serve as a member of the Operation Andrew Group (www.operationandrew.org) staff team and seeks to 1) ensure the vision of and passion for the Oak Project is grasped by the larger organization 2) leverage OAG’s resources and relationships and 3) balance and create synergies with the other ministries and initiatives of the organization.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Follower of Jesus active in a local congregation, as well as spiritually devoted and alive in Christ.
  • Bachelor’s degree minimum.
  • Previous experience in program administration, volunteer management, or related roles.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and effective and persuasive presentation skills, with the ability to articulate the value of mentoring and engage diverse stakeholders through various channels.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a track record of successfully executing initiatives and achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated passion for mentoring and community development.
  • Highly relational and able to navigate complex conversations and situations with wisdom, poise, empathy, and the love of Christ.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, manage time well and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of generational differences and the complex issues being faced in today’s world. Proven and demonstrated ability to work with young adults and professional and experienced leaders across multiple generations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, project management and fundraising software/tools desired. WordPress, Mailchimp and text platforms experience a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This role is a part-time position scheduled to work 24 hours per week.  
  • In office required every Tuesday, other days can be in office or remote. Office days and hours are subject to change to adapt to the needs of the ministries.
  • Regular office hours are 8:30 – 4:30, but occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary.

  • Duties are subject to change to address the needs of the organization.
