Advocacy can feel intimidating for nonprofit leaders, especially when concerns about boards, donors, or reputation and public perception are involved. This 90-minute virtual session breaks down what advocacy really is and what it isn’t, helping leaders move past the misconception that advocacy is the same as partisan Republican vs. Democrat politics.
This virtual session is designed for all leaders but is especially valuable for those with little to no advocacy experience. During this workshop, we will reframe advocacy as a strategic leadership skill rooted in mission, not ideology or partisanship.
Participants will learn a simple decision framework to help them know when and how to engage, communicate effectively with boards about their advocacy, and navigate complex environments without creating unnecessary risk.
You will leave with greater clarity, confidence, and practical tools to engage thoughtfully and responsibly in support of your mission and deepen your impact.
