The Advocate’s Playbook 2026: Leading with Clarity in a Noisy Political Year

In 2026, nonprofit leaders are facing increased political noise, heightened awareness and scrutiny, and real concerns from boards, donors, and stakeholders about how the landscape shapes their work. This half-day, in-person session is designed to help nonprofit leaders navigate advocacy with confidence, without compromising their mission, reputation, or the trust they’ve built with stakeholders.

Participants will explore what makes this year different and how to stay anchored in mission amid external pressures. They will learn to clearly separate advocacy from elections. Through practical frameworks and real-world examples, leaders will learn how to communicate effectively in politically charged environments, set institutional guardrails, and align their boards, staff, and donors around a mission-centered engagement. Attendees will leave with a practical playbook they can take back to their organizations to guide advocacy decisions in 2026.
