Doing Hard Things Better: A Technology Boot Camp for Nonprofits

Gain technology insight during this two-day bootcamp!

June 11th & June 25th

Nonprofit leaders in 2026 face complex new missional problems— usually with small staff, old technologies, and extensive . This two-day, hands-on bootcamp is designed to replace confusion with clarity and hesitation with confidence.

By the end of the bootcamp, leaders will  command their technologies as a force multiplier for good—one that enables smarter operations, braver ideas, and greater impact.

By the end of this bootcamp, participants will be able to:

  1. Take charge of your nonprofit technology stack
Understand the functional differences between financial systems, CRMs, websites, donation platforms, and communication tools—and how they can be integrated into simple, automated workflows that reduce manual effort and errors.

  2. Identify and prioritize operational automation opportunities
Assess current processes to pinpoint high-friction, high-waste activities and articulate practical automation or integration improvements that save staff time and improve data quality.

  3. Make informed decisions about external technology support
Know when and how to leverage managed service IT providers, consultants, and vendors for helpdesk, provisioning, security, and corporate applications—without over-relying on them or losing organizational control.

  4. Design mission-aligned technology and data projects
Translate mission challenges into well-scoped technology, data, or research initiatives that can inform policy, engage the public, or create tools the for-profit sector won’t build.

  5. Assemble and lead volunteer-driven technical teams effectively
Apply practical frameworks for recruiting, onboarding, managing, and sustaining volunteer experts so projects move from idea to impact—without chaos, burnout, or stalled momentum.
