Designing the Employee Experience: A Strategy for Retention, Engagement, and Culture

Turnover is one of the costliest challenges in talent management, running from 33% to 200% of an employee’s salary. For lean, budget-conscious nonprofits, retaining top talent is critical. For over 25 years, Work Institute has researched why employees leave, and our findings indicate that most of the reasons are controllable. Organizations can make changes to improve the employee experience and keep the people they’ve worked hard to hire.

In this session, you will:

  1. Understand why employees leave and which drivers you can influence
  2. Explore how engagement connects to productivity
  3. Discover why culture is the foundation of retention

You will leave with:

  1. An audit of your current employee experience
  2. A roadmap for improving the employee experience at every stage, from onboarding to exit
