Welcome Home Ministries is a compassionate, faith-based nonprofit dedicated to providing hope and healing for men recovering from substance use disorder. Grounded in the love of Jesus Christ, we operate recovery housing and support programs that foster wholeness, reconciliation, and self-sufficiency. Our small, close-knit team works together in a supportive office in Brentwood to make a lasting impact in our community—one life at a time.

As our Part-Time Accountant/Office Administrator, you will manage the financial operations of our ministry, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and supporting our grant-funded programs.  This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who wants to contribute to a purpose-driven ministry in a part-time capacity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate financial records using QuickBooks, including Bank reconciliations
  • Creating and managing annual ministry budget
  • Assist Development Department in writing and managing budgets for grant applications
  • Handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing (with third party vendor)
  • Preparing monthly invoicing to state agencies for grant reimbursements
  • Preparing financial reports for quarterly Board meetings.
  • Compiling annual reports and filings for various state agencies
  • Organizing and coordinating multiple fundraising events
  • Coordinating external audits, providing requested information and responding to inquiries
  • Ensuring compliance with grant and regulatory requirements
  • Performing various other financial and administrative duties as needed in our small office setting

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in accounting/administrative experience, with strong emphasis on QuickBooks proficiency
  • Proficient skills in Excel (including budget creation, spreadsheets, tracking, and reporting)
  • Hands-on experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
  • Familiarity with grant budgeting, state agency reporting, monthly grant billing, and audit preparation/support
  • High level of attention to detail, organization, and integrity
  • Comfortable working independently in a small office while collaborating with ministry leadership
