Job Summary
We are a 4 1/2 year old small nonprofit with the mission of providing holistic & all-encompasing education & support to the family caregivers of persons & their person with any dementia causing condition & education to the lay & professional community. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant in a small 2 person office located within a church to assist the Executive Director in executing this desparately needed mission. There are many opportunities to be creative as this organization continues to grow & evolve.
Job Responsibilities
As Administrative Assistant he/she will be working directly with the Executive Director/Program Director in a 2 person office. A full job description can be emailed to you but to summarize a few of the duties they are:
- Attending & Recording the Minutes of the Monthly Board Meeting, as well as assisting in the preparation of the meetings
- Assembling Newcomer Packets
- Managing initial client paperwork, as well as ongoing
- Benchmarking Program Related Documentation
- Assisting in Support Group preparation
- Monitoring Attendance in the 11 support groups per month & placing phone calls to check on the caregivers
- Monitoring Social Media along with select Board Members
- Assisting in Fundraising events, community health fairs, etc
- Outreach & marketing our programs within Rutherford County
- Communicating frequently with our caregivers in between support groups
- Assisting the Executive Director in organizing & creating more efficient processes
Qualifications
Creativity & skills in organization & improving the efficiency of clerical processes. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Gmail, Social Media and general office duties. Embracing the mission of education & support for the family caregiver & newly diagnosed persons of a dementia-causing disease is also imperative! Only those with compassion & empathy need apply! This is a smoke free campus.
