Job Summary
Under the direction of the Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP) Training Director, provides services of internship and training management through Insight Counseling Centers (Insight). Assists Insight to fulfill its mission of providing training for agency therapists, clergy, and the community in Spiritually Integrated Care, Counseling, and Psychotherapy. In addition to these duties, serves as a SIP Therapist and Approved Supervisor or Supervisor in Training.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Provide an average of 12 psychotherapy / supervision sessions weekly.
- Responsible for Insight’s Internship program, including interviewing, selecting, orienting and training students.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with referring academic institutions.
- Coordinate Insight’s SIP Literature Review Meetings and collaborate with the Director of SIP Training concerning SIP Case Consultation meetings.
- Develop and implement community training events in collaboration with Marketing Director.
- Standardize curriculum for core programs which Insight offers the community.
- Participate in development and oversite of the training program budget.
- Other duties as necessary in collaboration with the Director of SIP Training to maintain successful training programs as part of the mission of Insight.
Reporting Relationships:
- Reports to the Director of SIP Training and is part of the Leadership Team of Insight.
- Supervises graduate interns.
- Collaborates with other Insight Intern supervisors in the evaluation and training of interns.
- Continues under consultation for supervision with a credentialed supervisor mentor.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Minimum of Master’s degree in a mental health discipline as well as completion of ACPE SIP 30-hour training. Master of Divinity or Master of Theological Studies is also preferred.
CREDENTIALS
Licensed by the state of Tennessee in one of the mental health disciplines.
Approved supervisor or supervisor in training in the same mental health discipline as licensed. Psychotherapy Member of ACPE: the standard for spiritual care and education and / or Member of Tennessee Association of Clinical Pastoral Therapists (TNAPT).
EXPERIENCE
Extensive clinical and supervisory experience required. Management and ministry experience preferred.
