Job Summary
Rocketown is looking for a relational, driven Development Director to join our team and help ensure the continued impact of our youth ministry through strategic development efforts.
Job Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Executive Director to develop long-term and short-term fundraising goals
• Create and implement a comprehensive development strategy
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential donors, corporations, foundations,
community leaders, and churches
• Work in conjunction with the Executive Director in the management of existing and cultivation of
future major gift donors
• Oversee the writing and submission of all grant proposals to government agencies, foundations,
and corporate entities
• Participate in the planning and implementation of all fund-raising events
• Educate and train board members on making fundraising calls and asks
• Forecast remaining months and EOY financials to the Operations Executive and aid in the
creation of department budget management when requested
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of five years of professional job experience
• High energy, positive attitude, flexible, committed to the team and teamwork, attention to detail,
self-motivation, and a high degree of initiative
• Strong verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively
• Strong partnership-building and event planning skills
• Computer literate
• Ability to make decisions in a changing environment
