Full job description
The Family Advocate implements and oversees a wide range of programs for the families at Grace Place. This person is responsible for the delivery and overall success of each participant, mothers and children. They will supervise program participants and inform leadership on their progress and performance.
A successful Family Advocate must have a broad knowledge of program management and social work principles . They must have a strategic mindset as well as be able to lead and develop program participants while building strong relationships.
The goal is to ensure every part of the program will be delivered successfully and add the highest possible value to the single mothers and children served by our organization.

Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Help initiate, set, and track goals for program participants according to the strategic objectives of the organization’s mission and individual participant needs
- Plan the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes
- Meet regularly with assigned families to build relationship and ensure progression through programs
- Connect families to resources in the community to enhance opportunities and ensure success
- Supervise all program participants to provide feedback and resolve complex problems
- Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people
- Apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed
- Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies
- Keep executive leadership informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience in social work practices and program management
- At least 3-5 years experience working with individuals in crisis and/or traumatic backgrounds
- Thorough understanding of program management techniques and methods
- Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
- Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting
- Working knowledge of MS office and program management software (Apricot) a plus
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent emotional intelligence
- Excellent relational skills
