Position Overview
The Marketing Manager leads Nashville Opera’s day-to-day marketing and digital communications. This full-time position focuses on executing campaigns, managing social media, coordinating advertising, and supporting audience growth across all programs.
The ideal candidate is both creative and organized, someone who enjoys producing content, managing details, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners. This role offers the opportunity to grow into a senior marketing leadership position over time.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Campaign Management
● Plan and implement marketing campaigns for performances, events, and education programs.
● Coordinate advertising, ticket promotions, and audience engagement efforts.
● Manage timelines and content delivery to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging.
● Monitor campaign performance and prepare regular reports for leadership.
Social Media & Content Creation
● Manage day-to-day social media posting, engagement, and scheduling.
● Write and edit clear, engaging copy for web, social, and email channels.
● Capture and curate photos, short videos, and audience stories to support campaigns.
● Collaborate with design and public relations partners for consistent messaging.
Email, Website & Digital Coordination
● Manage email campaigns, list segmentation, and calendar alignment with events.
● Update website content regularly to reflect upcoming productions and community news.
● Support digital ad setup and performance tracking.
● Ensure all digital content follows accessibility and branding standards.
Collaboration & Partnerships
● Work closely with leadership, development, and education teams to align messaging.
● Coordinate with external marketing partners on creative assets, PR, and media outreach.
● Attend performances and community events to support onsite marketing and coverage
Qualifications
Qualifications
● 4–7 years of marketing or communications experience (arts, entertainment, or nonprofit preferred)
● Strong writing, organization, and content management skills.
● Familiarity with digital advertising platforms, analytics, and email marketing tools.
● Working knowledge of social media management and scheduling tools.
● Basic graphic design skills (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).
● Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.
● Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
