Job Summary
Job Description: We are seeking a registered sonographer with experience in Obstetrics to support our growing clinical need for early first trimester ultrasounds. We are seeking someone who can balance clinical expertise with empathy, an educational mindset, and compassion for the patients we serve in unplanned and often difficult pregnancies. We are looking for someone to model our values of being life-affirming and medically accurate in all patient engagements.
Position Title: Ultrasonographer – OB
Position Type: Part-Time / 16 hours per week
Typical schedule: Two days per week (always on Friday) 8:30-5:00 Monday-Thursday and 8:30-2:30 on Friday. Other hours as needed for client services. All changes due to vacation/illness/offsite events/etc. should be approved by the Clinical Director.
Salary: Hourly position at $33/hr Partial benefits – 3 Personal days

Job Responsibilities
Patient Care
Consult with patient to review their medical history and explain the ultrasound procedure following a positive pregnancy test by clinical staff
Analyze the results of the ultrasound scan to assess the gestational age, presence or absence of fetal heart rate, fetal length and pregnancy location
Maintain appropriate and timely documentation in Athena
Collaborate with radiologist to evaluate sonogram results
Cleaning and sterilization following each patient
Ensure the ultrasound equipment is maintained in good working order and comply with safety regulations and standards
Provide follow-up with clients and referrals as needed
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals including MD’s, nurses, clinical counselors, pregnancy advocates and other sonographers
Provides back-up coverage for pregnancy tests when needed;
Provide early pre-natal education
Qualifications
Degree/license/experience requirements
- Graduate from an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Associate or Bachelor’s degree
- 2-3 years minimal clinical experience preferred
- Certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Proficiency in sonography equipment and software
- Excellent patient service skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
