Job Summary

Responsible for organizing and delivering council programs that meet the needs and interests of girls throughout our 39 county service area with specific attention to building relationships with corporate and non-profit partners.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops, organizes and delivers programming that meets the needs and interests of our girl membership which includes: curriculum development, supply ordering and management, communication with volunteers and staff.
• Develops, plans, implements, and evaluates innovative partnership strategies to increase program activities to our diverse population of girls both metropolitan and rural areas.
• Ensures that there are a variety of programmatic opportunities across the 4 Girl Scout pillars.
• Coordinates partnership model for programming and troop support including evaluation program partner events to ensure quality and rigor.
• Fosters relationships with new and existing partners with high level communication and clear expectations and asks.
• Serves as the primary contact for partnerships for program and volunteer needs and works with Fund Development to continue partnerships.
• Serves as the primary event contact and in-person council representative for partner program events.
• Helps position Girl Scouting as a key community partner and expert in addressing girls’ issues.
• Works cross-departmentally to understand the needs of specific areas and then tailors programming to those needs.
• Ensures our ability to meet girl recruitment and retention goals as outlined in our plan of work through delivery of high quality council events, programs, opportunities and materials.
• Works with Girl Experience team in the coordination and management of council-sponsored events and programs.
• Works in partnership with membership and communications teams to effectively communicate program offerings.
• Models behavior consistent with the purpose, values, and mission of Girl Scouts of the USA and Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee.
• Accepts additional responsibilities and performs other duties as delegated.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in program delivery or development.
• Experience in managing community and organization partnership

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Creative, outgoing, motivated and able to deliver quality programs.
• Ability to see projects through from conception to completion.
• Highly developed interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Goal oriented, detail oriented, energetic and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Comfortable with a face-paced work environment.
• Able to coordinate multiple projects at one time for large groups of 50 or more.
• Ability to handle sensitive information.
• Able to work nights and weekends as needed
• Demonstrated computer skills, preferably in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule, including travel throughout our 39 county service area.

Physical Working Conditions

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.  The employee may lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
• Daytime travel is required.
• A current valid drivers’ license and access to transportation is required.
