Job Summary
Affordable Housing Resources, Inc. (AHR) is seeking a professional, friendly, and detail-oriented Receptionist & Application Intake Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis, with the possibility of extension or permanent position. This position is critical to ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and guests, while also providing administrative support for housing and financial assistance programs by assisting with application intake and collecting required documentation from clients.
Job Responsibilities
Front Desk and Reception Duties:
- Greet clients, visitors, and partners in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Accept incoming mail and deliveries; manage outgoing mail as needed.
- And other administrative duties, as required.
Application Intake Support:
- Assist clients with completing intake applications, forms, and gathering required documentation.
- Review submitted applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Enter application data into internal systems and track submission status.
- Schedule appointments and follow-up calls as needed to support applicants.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all applicant and client information.
Administrative Support:
- File and organize paperwork in accordance with AHR’s procedures.
- Provide clerical support to program staff as requested.
- Help prepare and distribute client communications or packets.
- Assist in scanning and digitizing documentation for records.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative or customer service training a plus.
- Previous experience in a receptionist, front office, administrative support or loan processer role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Reliable and has integrity a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal software systems.
- Comfortable working with sensitive or confidential information.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
