Job Summary
The Site Coordinator is responsible for the daily implementation of DYMON’s program at the assigned site. This part-time position actively engages students, follows lesson plans organized by the Program Director, tracks attendance, supports student recruitment and retention, builds positive relationships with parents, maintains compliance and safety standards, and manages Youth Engagement Specialists assigned to the site.
Schedule & Availability
This position requires reliable availability within the following schedule:
- On-site program hours: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM.
- One weekday (Monday or Tuesday) available for youth recruiting at partner schools.
- Administrative time: up to 2–3 hours per week (virtual meetings, trainings, emails, parent calls, planning).
- One monthly in-person team meeting (2 hours, paid).
Job Responsibilities
Student Engagement
- Build positive, supportive relationships with students.
- Actively participate in and facilitate daily program activities.
- Promote student voice, participation, and a sense of belonging.
- Maintain an engaging, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
Lesson Plan Implementation
- Follow lesson plans and activity schedules organized by the Program Director.
- Prepare materials and spaces before program activities begin.
- Deliver activities with consistency and fidelity to program expectations.
- Communicate lesson plan needs, challenges, and student progress to the Program Director.
Attendance & Data Management
- Track and verify daily student attendance accurately.
- Maintain required student records and submit reports by established deadlines.
Student Recruitment & Retention
- Recruit eligible students in partnership with school and community stakeholders.
- Monitor participation and follow up on attendance concerns.
- Implement strategies that encourage consistent participation and student retention.
Parent Engagement
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians.
- Support family engagement activities and respond to questions or concerns.
Compliance & Safety
- Maintain active supervision, follow all DYMON and school-site policies, document incidents promptly, protect student confidentiality, and maintain required compliance records.
Youth Engagement Specialist Leadership
- Direct, support, and monitor Youth Engagement Specialists assigned to the site.
- Assign daily responsibilities and provide coaching and performance feedback.
Reporting & Administration
- Communicate site needs, student concerns, and staffing issues to the Program Director immediately.
- Complete all required reports and attend staff meetings and trainings in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Youth Development, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience working with youth in an educational, afterschool, recreation, or community-based setting preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and classroom management skills required. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff is essential.
