Hi! I am the Executive Director of ABLE Youth. I am the only full time employee, and we only have one other part time employee. We have always piecemealed our donor management together, but I would like to have it together in one platform. What are some inexpensive options of platforms that small nonprofits like us use?

Here are a few to take a look at. There are always love/hate relationships with CRM’s and donor management. The one thing I would say is make sure you have a plan of how information will but put into the system and make sure that anyone else who has access to it also knows how things need to be entered. Create a process for adding information and use the same process every time. This way when you are exporting data it will hopefully be pretty clean. Also, dedicate some time regularly to update, delete, and review the files. The key is to remember “garbage in garbage out” and you don’t want to deal with garbage when you need a report. So having a clear process that everyone understands will help avoid the garbage.
