Job Summary
The Multimedia Content Creator transforms brand and campaign concepts into engaging photo, video, and audio stories—planning, shooting, and editing high-impact content that elevates the Chamber’s messaging across social media, digital ads, animated graphics, podcasts, marketing collateral, reports, and event programming. Working closely with the marketing team, this role drives awareness, engagement, and revenue by delivering on-brand, performance-optimized multimedia assets.
Job Responsibilities
Content Production
- Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality photography and video for events, campaigns, website, print, and digital channels.
- Record, edit, and mix audio for interviews, podcasts, and voiceovers.
- Create motion graphics and simple animations (e.g., lower thirds, title cards, infographics).
- Color-grade, sound-mix, and transcode media to meet delivery specifications.
- Maintain organized project files and manage a digital asset library for easy retrieval.
- Collaborate with the Director of Creative Services to ensure all assets adhere to brand standards and style guides.
- Work closely with Marketing and Communications and Events teams to understand project goals, deadlines, event calendars, and distribution strategies.
- Support graphic design production by providing raw media, composite files, or animated elements as needed.
Act as on-site photographer/videographer for key Chamber events and initiatives, managing scheduling, coverage plans, execution, and delivery.
Innovation & Industry Awareness
- Stay current on industry best practices, emerging tools, and new formats for multimedia storytelling.
- Recommend and implement new technologies—such as 360° video, live streaming, or advanced animation techniques—to enhance content engagement.
Performance & Analytics
- Monitor content performance metrics (views, engagement, shares) and apply insights to improve future productions.
- Participate in post-project reviews to gather feedback and refine workflows for greater efficiency.
- Foster a culture of service excellence, build trusted internal relationships, and champion member needs by advocating for their perspectives.
- Other duties/projects as assigned by the Director of Creative Services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Film/Media Production, Photography, Communications, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in photography, videography, and animation
- Strong online portfolio showcasing a variety of video and photography work demonstrating exceptional storytelling and technical expertise is required for consideration.
- Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, professional lighting setups, strobes, and audio equipment.
- Advanced understanding of digital media trends, visual trends, and online communities.
- Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail.
- Strong visual storytelling sense and excellent communication skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite [PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.]
- Expert use of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Photoshop (or similar tools).
- Ability to travel to on-site events and lift/transport equipment.
- Understanding of industry terminology and best practices with awareness of emerging trends. Copywriting and graphic design skills a plus.
- Must be able to establish strong internal and external working relationships.
- Ability to focus in an open-office environment and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work early mornings and evenings as needed.
